About FindBestConverter
Converting a file should not mean handing it to a stranger. FindBestConverter is a small set of converters built so that your files stay on your own device.
Why we built it
Searching for a simple conversion usually leads to sites that want you to upload a document, wait in a queue, create an account and then accept a watermark. For a payslip, a passport scan or a signed contract, uploading it anywhere is a risk most people would rather not take.
We chose ten jobs that come up all the time and built one focused tool for each.
How the tools work
Each converter is code that runs inside your browser tab. PDFs are read with Mozilla's pdf.js and pdf-lib, images are decoded and re-encoded with the browser's own image engine, and iPhone HEIC photos are decoded with an open-source library. The result is created in memory and handed to you as a download.
Because the file never reaches a server, there is nothing for us to keep, delete or protect.
What we will not do
We will not ask you to create an account to use a tool, add watermarks to your files, or quietly start uploading files. If a future tool ever needs a server, its page will say so clearly before you add a file.
